Fernpaw rolled her kind eyes, silent. She wrapped her tail around the fox pup and lead it out of the burrow, brushing past Kinkpaw. There she could inspect it's wounds.

Fernpaw rolled her eyes at Ravenheart. "Will all respect, it's a pup. And I'm a medicine cat apprentice, I know what I'm doing." She smiled and inspected to pup. "Poor thing..." She murmured.

"Look, Fernpaw. It might just be a pup. But the mother is probably close by, or it's diseased. We need to report this."

"And leave it to die? No way!" The medicine apprentice hissed. She snatched up nearby cobwebs after locating the wounds, wrapping them expertly around them. "Sorry, Ravenheart. But a medicine cat has no enemies. They like to help all."

Kinkpaw puffed her chest out, "if the mother fox does attack, I'll defend you!" she vowed.

"That's right, Ravenheart. Now keep a look out while I heal this thing." Fernpaw smiled at Kinkpaw and got to work, inspecting it's wounds. "And no good mother would leave it's poor pup like this."
Adderstrike watched them suspiciously, glancing at Ravenheart with unease. |

Kinkpaw peered over fernpaw to look at the fox, "it's bigger than I thought!" She gasped.
