kinkpaw lowered herself to the ground, having found the scent of fox. She thought to race back to camp to tell the others, but what help would that do? I can do this all my myself, I'll be the bravest cat in Echo Clan, then EchoStar will surely make me a warrior! Kinkpaw opened her mouth to taste the scent of fox once again. "I'm coming. fox!" she yowled as she tumbled into the deepest part of the woods.

Standing at the edge of the woods, Ravenheart thought she smelt something funny. "Huh..."

As kinkpaw followed the foxes scent, she came across ravenheart. "Ravenheart, I smell fox!" She meowed exitedly.

Fernpaw, pelt specked with herbs, peered through the wood. "I also smell blood," The medicine appy mewed matter-of-facctly. She watched the two. "That's either an injured cat or a the fox," She mewed. So, she was a bit of a smarty-pants and a show-off; she was also caring as anything. Fernpaw slipped from the bushes and stoos in the sunlight.

Kinkpaw flinched at the young cats words...wow, she's so...well, clever! Kinkpaw reminded herself that there may be a cat in danger, "come on! Let's go and kill that fox!" she yowled.

"No Kinkpaw, you'll get killed! We need some more warriors to help drive the fox off!" Ravenheart was one of the senior warriors! Why was Kinkpaw being so disobedient? She barely knew how to fight!
